A Belize file in Türkiye may be a company file: the incorporation documents, authorisations or power of attorney of a company registered in Belize, needed by a Turkish trade registry, bank or court. Belize’s 1992 accession and the 1993 date
Belize deposited its accession on 17 July 1992; the HCCH status table shows 11 April 1993. No state objected in the following six months, Türkiye included, so the starting date between Belize and Türkiye is Belize’s own. Belize has objected to no later accession and is not in the Kosovo note. In the full status report, the declaration and notification columns of the Belize row are empty.
The Registrar General and the International Financial Services Commission
The HCCH authority page, updated on 6 July 2020, names two certifying bodies in Belize: the Registrar General and the International Financial Services Commission. The HCCH summary does not describe how the work is divided between the two, and which document goes to which body was not verified on this site. For a Turkish office the practical point is that a Belize document carries the certificate of one of these two bodies. The fee is stated in Belize dollars with a US dollar equivalent; the amount is not reproduced here.
A Convention relationship without Hague Conference membership
Belize has no seat among the Members of the Hague Conference, while its apostille row has stood in the status table since 1993. The two records are independent: accession to the Convention does not depend on membership, and membership alone creates no Convention relationship. Someone reading only the list of Members does not find Belize there. The status for Belize is printed from this site’s country data in the box above this page. The e-APP chart of 13 August 2026 has no Belize row, and the authority page gives no online register.
A Belize company document in a Turkish trade registry
A company document issued in Belize comes to Türkiye with a Belize certificate; no Turkish authority certifies it. Article 1 of the Convention excludes administrative documents dealing directly with commercial or customs operations, but belonging to a company does not by itself take a document outside the Convention. Belize has not acceded to ETS 063, CIEC 16 or CIEC 17, and a document from a Belize mission gains nothing from the 1968 exemption. What a Turkish trade registry asks for on a Belize company document besides the certificate was not verified on this site.
Turkish documents for Belmopan, and their translation
A Turkish document for Belize is certified in Türkiye. For an administrative document the competent office is a valilik or kaymakamlık, the governor’s office of a province or district. A power of attorney drawn up before a notary, or a notarised translation, is certified by a governor or district governor as well, and the notary’s province is no longer a condition. The original of a court judgment to be filed in Belize is certified by the adli yargı adalet komisyonu başkanlığı. Which translation language and which certification Belizean institutions accept for a Turkish document was not verified by this site. On a document from Belize the Turkish translation follows the certificate; the Turkish office concerned says whether the certificate is to be translated with the document. Open points: the division of work between the two bodies, the online register, whether the fee is current and translation acceptance. A translation office renders the text and gives no opinion on the legal effect of a company document in Türkiye.
